What is Kilevel

A voice AI platform for building agents that answer and place real phone calls, run the conversation against your own data, and hand off to the rest of your stack.

Kilevel is a platform for building AI agents that hold real conversations — on the phone, over WhatsApp, and in chat — and then act on what was said.

An agent can answer an inbound call, place an outbound one, look a caller up in your own data, book something, transfer to a human, and leave a structured record behind. The conversation is the interface; everything underneath it is configuration you own.

What you can build

Inbound reception

An agent answers a provisioned number, identifies the caller, answers from a knowledge base, and books or transfers. Concurrency is set per number, so a campaign cannot starve your main line.

Outbound campaigns

A call job takes a list of contacts — uploaded as CSV or pushed over the API — and works through it, with per-row context available to the conversation.

Conversational workflows

Automations run before, during, or after a call: enrich a record, call your own HTTP endpoint, write back to a data store, trigger the next step.

Transcription without a call

Upload audio, or point at a file, and the same structured extraction a live call produces runs over it.

How the platform fits together

The one distinction worth learning before anything else is flow versus agent.

  • A flow is the logic: the instructions, the conversation graph, the tools it may call, the variables it collects.
  • An agent is a personification of a flow: a voice, a language, a knowledge base, and the settings that decide how that logic sounds when a person hears it.

The same flow can back several agents. A German-speaking agent and an English one can run identical logic and differ only in voice and language, which is why the two are separate objects rather than one.

Where to go next

Core concepts walks through the rest of the object model — call jobs, applications, data stores, phone numbers. If you would rather see something work first, start with the quickstart.

Where your data goes

Call recordings are stored in Frankfurt. Everything else — how personal data is handled, which subprocessors are involved, what you control yourself — is documented in the Trust Center rather than here, and that page is the one to cite in a procurement review.
