AI disclosure

Tell callers they are speaking with an AI at the start of every call — preset wording in over 30 languages, or your own.

The EU AI Act (Article 50) requires that people are told when they are interacting with an AI system. On a phone call the natural place for that is the greeting, before anything else is said.

How it works

With AI disclosure on, a disclosure sentence is spoken at the start of the call, ahead of the first message, and the caller cannot talk over it.

  • Workspaces in the EU have disclosure switched on for every voice flow; it cannot be turned off.
  • Everywhere else it is available per flow, and off by default.

Wording

Choose a preset for the flow's language — presets exist for every supported language, some with placeholders for the agent's name and your company name. Add text before or after the preset if you need to, or write the whole sentence yourself.

Your wording, your responsibility

Custom text, and text added before or after a preset, replaces wording designed for the purpose. Have it reviewed before relying on it. The preset wording is provided as a starting point and is not legal advice.

Where you see it

The flow's start node shows whether disclosure is on and which wording it uses, so a flow cannot quietly go live without it.
