Send email through your own mail server and text messages from an SMS-enabled Twilio number.

Email over SMTP

Connect your own mail server to send email from flows and automations — confirmations, summaries, follow-ups — from your own domain.

You need the server's host and port, a username and password, and the connection security it expects: STARTTLS, SSL or none.

Warning

Use STARTTLS or SSL wherever your server supports it. "None" sends credentials and messages unencrypted and exists only for internal relays that require it.

SMS via Twilio

Choose an SMS-enabled Twilio number from your workspace to send text messages — a booking confirmation straight after a call, a link the caller asked for, a reminder the day before.
