Connect WhatsApp through Twilio or the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, and run your flows on it.
WhatsApp is connected per number, through one of two providers:

| Meta WhatsApp Cloud API | You work with Meta directly |
Once connected, inbound messages start a conversation on the flow assigned to the
number, and you can start conversations yourself with POST /outbound/chats — see
Messaging channels.
Note
WhatsApp's business rules apply: a conversation you start outside the customer-service window generally needs an approved message template.
